Right before Thanksgiving, I had the privilege to meet some wonderful people at The Blueprint Events’ Around the World in 80 Days, which was an opportunity for fellow entrepreneurs to meet and greet! I had a great time meeting all sorts of people working in a variety of businesses and industries mostly geared to events and wedding planning. There were vendors with catering, photography, makeup artists, and even a henna artist! Not only that, but some of the vendors I met as we indulged is some delicious sushi samples, had also been vendors serving the event as well! I was impressed with the venue sight itself and the decorations were adorable. In keeping with the theme of Jules Verne’s novel, there were hanging hot-air balloon lanterns hanging all over the ceiling. The sushi was inspired by different parts of the world, including my favorite, Jamaican sushi. But if sushi wasn’t your thing, surely you had a sweet tooth for some amazing bakery goods from a French styled pastry bar. The music was lively, loud, and exciting – the way I like it, and the photography booth was a fun way for vendors to bond and let down their hair and be a little silly. Perhaps what caught my eye the most were the servers with the sushi trays. They were adorably attired in retro styled flight attendant outfits and looked stunning! It was a fabulous time and I am grateful to have been invited. I met very sharp business folk who have a lot of talent and ready to serve the community! Thank you to The Blueprint Events who planned the whole evening! And a “thank you” to the vendors who specifically catered to the event! While this event was geared to entrepreneurs and local vendors, I networked with some great people who hopefully can be of service to YOU in the future!
